Fancy Live iron casting, a modern art cake stall and a ‘have-a-go’ graffiti wall? If so, you’re in for a treat. Somerset’s Black Swan Arts have team up with Mount Art Services to bring you work from over fifty artists and designers at the Old Cattle Market Car Park 12th of July 2015 from 10am-4pm. Join Frome’s popular Art Car Boot in celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with a brand new fete-theme this summer!
With ceramics, prints, paintings, textiles, jewellery and much more, you’ll meet meet the makers face-to-face. Frome’s Black Inc Tattoo Studio will be taking over the face painting stall, and in an unusual twist, have a go at ‘pin the monobrow on the Frida’ as well as tons of wonderfully weird activities! “The Art Car Boot has always been fantastic at bringing art lovers and artists together in an informal environment”, says Mount Art’s Simon Keyte.
“We thought the 10th anniversary was a great opportunity to build upon this success. The new interactive elements are all designed to make art more accessible to festivalgoers and ultimately bring the amazing works of local artists to a wider audience. We’ve even got buskers playing their trade throughout the day, all in the true spirit of the Art Car Boot!”
The Art Car Boot is free to attend and will take place on the final day of Frome Festival, a vibrant community festival running from Friday 3 July to Sunday 12 July. Frome Festival attracts visitors from across the South West and features many events which are organised, hosted and promoted by local groups.
